You can make a positive difference by serving on the CDFM Board. CDFM runs mostly on volunteer power, and our CDFM Board is no exception! It is currently comprised of seven members and two ex-officio members. The CDFM Board creates and holds the vision while maintaining the fiscal health of the overall Market. The Board, along with our vendors, volunteers, and market manager, work together to ensure the continued success of the market by creating a fun, education-filled, family atmosphere and community gathering spot during the market season.
Expectations: CDFM Board meets monthly (usually first Thursday of each month). As a small-sized Board, members can expect to contribute and be assigned action items and tasks.
Skills We’re Looking For: General knowledge/operation of farmers markets, experience and/or interest in assisting with 501c3 (fundraising experience a big plus), events and educational activities, music relations and scheduling, community involvement, ability and/or interest in posting to social media, and grant writing
Please send a paragraph to email@example.com on why you would be interested in joining the Market Board and what you could contribute as an active member. Deadline for submissions will be June 28th. Applicants will be notified of status early July. All potential applicants will be asked to meet with the current Board members at the July meeting, tentatively scheduled July 11th. If you have previously applied, no need to apply again as we will consider your application along with this new round of submissions.
