Salem Street Sound

The Salem Street Sound was founded as a student group and is based at Thales Academy in Apex, NC.   The ensemble consists of Brendan Lynch and Michael Monaco, trumpet; Nick Lucovsky and Richard Dryer (band director and arranger), tenor saxophone; Casey DuBrow, baritone saxophone; Ammon Pusey, trombone; Edwin Cauthen, bass; and Blythe Klayner, drum set.  The Salem Street Sound plays an exciting mixture of jazz and popular music.  Although 5 of the members have graduated from high school at Thales Academy, they love playing together and have continued to rehearse and perform during breaks and in the summer.
