Boxcarr Handmade Cheese

Our family established Boxcarr Farms in 2009 with dreams of working with each other and with our slice of Southern red clay to create something wonderful, meaningful and delicious. We brought together a talented CIA-trained chef, a graphic design artist, and a seasoned cheese-maker. Our first-generation farming family includes (but is not limited to) Austin Genke, his wife Dani, and his sister Samantha. Presently, a young and energetic second generation of kiddos is along for the ride.
We take inspiration from small European farmstead creameries. Our Farmstead Goats milk is treasure to create cheeses with and mix with fresh, rich Jersey cows milk from our friends’ small family-owned dairy, who also raise their cows with the greatest of care and highest standards.
We distribute our artisan cheeses nationally, while also selling locally to restaurants, shops, and directly to shoppers at Farmers’ Markets.
