Abena Antwi is a hard-working entrepreneur, chemist and creative engineer based in Apex. Born and raised in Ghana, Abena has long been passionate about food, cooking and creating.

After moving to the United States to further her career and education, she worked various jobs while also developing recipes for her own African-inspired sauces. In 2020, Abena launched Queen’s Jollof Sauce, a line of all-natural sauces made from locally sourced ingredients that bring traditional West African flavors to North Carolina homes.

With her background as both a chemist and creative engineer, Abena is able to create unique flavor combinations that reflect her culture and heritage.Abena believes in empathetic leadership and strives for excellence in all aspects of her work.

Her innovative approach to business has allowed Queen’s Jollof Sauce to become the go-to source for authentic West African flavors in the Triangle.
