Melina’s Fresh Pasta

Melina’s Fresh Pasta was founded in November 2010 to bring artisan fresh pasta production to the Raleigh-Durham area. Inspired by her family’s Italian roots and recipes ,founder Carmella Alvaro left the corporate world for the old world, apprenticing in Bologna, Italy to supplement the Southern Italian cooking lessons of her mother and learn the Northern Italian tradition of fresh pasta making. Our mission is to honor the traditions of Italian food – Fresh, Local, Seasonal – to make the best and most delicious pasta; offering a product that is easy and fast to prepare so our busy customers don’t have to sacrifice quality for convenience. Our pasta is like a hug from Nonna!
Using traditional recipes and methods learned in Italy, Melina’s Fresh Pasta produces fresh pasta, ravioli, gnocchi and sauces. We produce a variety of ravioli stuffed with special blends of spices, seasonal vegetables and imported Italian and all-natural cheeses. Our fan favorites ravioli include Lemon Ricotta Ravioli, Pimento Cheese Ravioli &Fig Gorgonzola Ravioli along with traditional flavors like Spinach & Cheese and Pumpkin.
Our pasta is delicious served simply – with just a little butter or olive oil and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese or one of our house made sauces.
