Gill & Spore Mushroom Farm | Cary Downtown Farmers Market

Gill & Spore Mushroom Farm

Donia graduated from NC State in 2020 with her degree in Food Science and spent the next couple of years working in her field before she decided she wanted to carve out her own place in the world of agriculture. That’s when Gill and Spore Mushroom Farm was created. It allowed her to combine her love of the industry with a dash of entrepreneurial spirit to grow food for others. The farm is currently growing king trumpet, oyster, and lion’s mane mushrooms in our facility in Louisburg, North Carolina.

They are passionate about bringing fresh (and delicious) mushrooms to the local community. Every weekend at markets in the Triangle they are blown away by the enthusiasm and joy their customers experience when incorporating mushrooms into their diet. They hope to continue bringing awareness to the world of specialty mushrooms in order to enrich the dinner plates of those around us!
