Our goal at the market is to make sure that EVERYONE in our community has access to fresh, healthy, locally grown food. That is why we are excited to offer four separate nutrition programs which will support the health and wellness of our beloved community. By offering the programs below, we will help make the farmers market a place that is accessible to all those wishing to feed themselves and their families with nutritious and delicious locally grown food.

Making Your Money Go Further

Program: SNAP/EBT

It’s been a long time coming, but we are so proud to say that we are officially able to accept SNAP/EBT at the Cary Downtown Farmers Market. And not only are we accepting it, we are doubling your EBT dollars purchased up to $30. In other words, if you buy $30 in farmers market tokens (usable at SNAP approved vendors), we will give you an additional $30 in tokens for free!

What is the process for using SNAP/EBT at the Market?  It is Simple!

Greet one of our Market Volunteers at the Information Booth and let them know you will be using your EBT card to purchase tokens.

Collect your double bucks in tokens to spend on SNAP-eligible items.

Use your tokens at our SNAP-approved Vendors and Enjoy!

Program: Eat A Rainbow 

We are serious about getting kids interested in eating more whole foods! That’s why we have our Eat-A-Rainbow Passport Program. It’s simple, just drop by the info booth when you first arrive at the market and pick up a free Farmers Market Passport and $5 E-A-R Coupon to spend at participating vendors to buy fresh, healthy food from the market. Come back to the info booth before you leave and show us your haul. We’ll mark off the colors of the rainbow on your passport and once you’ve got them all, we’ll give you a grand prize!
