The Future Of The Market – A Message From The CDFM Board

Cary Downtown Farmers Market Patrons:

From the entire Board and our Market Manager, Brett Pinsent, thank you very much for
your patronage, support and passion for the Cary Downtown Farmers Market (CDFM).
Whether you are new to the Market or a long-time shopper, please know you are all
greatly appreciated and treasured. This message is sent to you not only to say thank
you, but to provide some insight on the future of the Market.

As you may know by now, on November 5th we entered the Winter Market season and
moved from the historic Ivey Ellington House to the side parking lot of The Perfect
Piece, which is located at 200 E. Chatham Street in downtown Cary. We really hated
leaving the grounds of the Ivey Ellington, but had to relocate so the house can be
moved to the old library site on Academy Street.

Since the 5th of November, we have worked to make our new location feel as welcoming
and inclusive as our former site. From the feedback we have received so far you are
embracing the new site and like the layout. However, don’t get too attached to the new
location at The Perfect Piece as it is only temporary. Once the new Downtown Cary
Park opens it will welcome the CDFM onto their footprint. We will have a large space on
Park Street down near the “Bark Bar”. From what we have been told, we are looking for
this move to take place in September 2023. However, it is all dependent on the
completion of the park. Don’t worry though, The Perfect Piece has said we can use its
parking lot until our space at the park is ready.

Once we move to the park, we will be able to expand our vendor count from the 21
vendors we can fit in our current space to approximately 40 vendors. This will enable us
to bring you more farmers, food vendors and crafters for you, our patrons to enjoy and
support.

If you have any questions from this communication, we invite you to visit us at the
Market on Saturday mornings and come to the information booth and we will be happy
to talk with you. Even if you don’t have questions, please stop by and say hello!

In closing, we thank you once again for your consistent support and dedication to the
Cary Downtown Farmers Market. From our family to yours, we wish you all an amazing
Holiday Season and a New Year that is full of good health, prosperity and all the things
that make you happy.

See you at the Market.
The Cary Downtown Farmers Market Board.
