Ternawtheri Family Farm

We are a refugee family-owned farm business in Chapel Hill, NC. In 2011, we started our farm business with the help of Transplanting Traditions Community Farm, an incubation farm for refugee families from Burma. We specialize in Southeast Asian produce, while also grow variety of produce, raised pasture eggs, and flowers. We are among the very few local Asian farmers in North Carolina, growing cultural foods from Burma and Thailand. Farming was our livelihood, and we had been stewarding our ancestral land until moving here. We hope to continue producing high-quality food for the communities in Alamance, Triangle region, and neighboring counties, and to preserve the beauty of the land and co-create healthier food systems together.
